Battlefield 2
I went ahead and picked up a copy of Battlefield 2 today. This is a very dangerous game to my productivity.
I was a latecomer to the Battlefield games. I actually missed BF:1942 entirely - I was getting my combat fix (single-player and multiplayer) from Operation: Flashpoint when Battlefield 1942 enjoyed its greatest popularity. Then when I was about ready to give up and try out the game, I heard that BF:Vietnam was about to be released. So I held on a little while longer. I didn't think Battlefield Vietnam was all THAT great, though it did have perhaps the greatest game soundtrack EVAR.
So I got the "true" sequel to the series today (over a week after everyone ELSE I know bought it - yes, peer pressure has been getting to me). I have to say - the improvements in GAMEPLAY over BF:Vietnam are pretty extreme. It just seems like a much more polished and playable product (say that three times fast). It looks like a winner.
