I ended up getting Half Life 2. Yeah, I'm a year behind the times. However, it does run pretty good on my machine. I wasn't sure it would. The graphics are very nice, and they definitely tried to push the gameplay a little bit in new directions.

The air-boat segment was a lot of fun (especially trying to outrun the helicopter and dodge mines), but so far my favorite part has been playing "Catch" with Dog using the gravity gun.
 

Air boat ride made me soooo sick. Make sure you download the lost coast addon. It has nothing to do with the story at all, and it has a cool commentary track too.

I got Shadow of the Colossus, holy crap! These boss battles are just insane.
 

I'm gonna have to add Shadow of the Colossus to my list. I've heard some good things about it.
