Tales from the Road - Cute Knight!
So here's some bits of independent game news from Rampant Games. Reported from the road just 2.7 miles from Disneyland.

First of all - I went ahead and tried out the inner of the RPG of the Year Award from Game Tunnel, "Cute Knight" (Kishi Kawaii). This is a sim / roleplaying game from Hanako games. It's really geared for more of a female audience, but I have to admit that once I started playing with it, I found it really intriguing. I bought it thinking, "Oh, my oldest daughter will get a kick out of this," but so far I'm the one who's been playing it :) The promise of over 50 different endings is pretty compelling. So far, I've unlocked five, including 0ne fairly explosive one. I have YET to "finish" the dungeon within the three year timespan of the game.

Anyway, the game is now available from the slightly-redesigned Rampant Games' main page. Check it out! Yeah, even if you are a hardcore RPG gamer guy like me... you may be pleasantly surprised.

Right now the most "winning" solution I've found to avoid an early loss of "dream" is to take dance lessons at the university as your first weeks' action - I'm having trouble finding something else that is self-sustaining. Dungeon-delving on week 1 has proven very hazardous, though it may be reasonable under certain birth signs. Got any more hints for the game? Post 'em here, or email 'em to me at jayb rampantgames com.

I've found the best way to avoid losing too much dream is to pick a path early on and stick with it... If you decide right from the start that your girl will be a chef and focus only on cooking jobs and classes, you'll find that doing cooking stuff increases her dreams. Same for focuing on charm/performing, or dungeon crawling/weapons, etc. And once you've reach the sort of top level for that skill, you can branch out a bit.

Yeah, the easiest thing with Busking is that you can get most of a week's worth of training at the University first, so you don't fail so miserably your first couple of weeks.

And no, I *STILL* haven't made it to the end of the dungeon...

born in month with cooking skill boosted. earn nuff and learn more kitchen stuff from college. u will pwn barmaid job with $18 a day. after maxing cooking, learn dance from college. dat should make u pwn barmaid jwb with $25 a day, or perform in town square ($25). prolly the best 2nd tier jobs so far.

and yea, i beat the dragon. on level 5, beat all 4 elemental monsters before tackling the dragon.

SPOILER....

killing the dragon will end the game automaticaly without waiting till 21 yo.

Cool! The elemental monsters keep kicking my butt, and I think I encountered the dragon *once* (and got whomped most soundly!). I wasn't sure if it was the final monster or not.

I do have an annoying tendency to keep sticking to the same strategy game after game rather than trying totally new paths. This helps. Thanks for the tips!

Try to only visist the church and ask for place to stay :-))) It doesn´t take so long and you will se :-)

I've been sucked into this game and I've found at least 21 endings. I am now stuck. I've got false princess, dragon slayer (when you defeat the dungeon), knight, assassin, banker, ballerina, socialite, wife, street dancer, nun, begger, suductress (street dancer with money and sin), maid, cook, waitress, bouncer, librarian, store cler, clothing designer (same picture for early crafting in store), estuarian, and fairy tale wedding (to prince.) If you have names to any other endings...post them, maybe we could figure out how to do it with the title of the ending.

ummm i got writer. basically i was charming and did magic alot

I finally got the "Royal Family" ending - it had a twist in it that I was NOT expecting. I don't know if there are clues in any of the other paths as to what REALLY happened with the royal family's children...

!!!!!SPOILER!!!!!

Aparantly the prince is Orchids son- But to reunit them you need to get the deluxe version- you can get it from
Hanakogames.com
